Igoumenitsa Port Authority S.A.
Port of Igoumenitsa is situated in North-West Greece, and due to its strategic geographical position acts as the main gateway of the area. The port of Igoumenitsa is an important link of South East Europe Motorway of the Sea (MoS) connecting the Adriatic Sea with the Ionian Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, including Cyprus. Annually, 2.5 million passengers and about 250,000 trucks travel from the port of Igoumenitsa, to and from domestic and foreign ports.

HEDNO was established in April 2012 with the secession of the Distribution sector of PPC S.Α. in accordance with Law 4001/2011 and in compliance with EU Directive 2009/72/EC in order to assume the duties of Administrator of the Hellenic Distribution Network. The main activity of the company is the operation, maintenance and development of the electricity distribution network in Greece towards ensuring the transparent and impartial access of consumers and all users of the network in general. In this project, NTUA is represented by the Laboratory for Maritime Transport Laboratory (LMT), of the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. LMT has a long experience in the design, development and simulation of maritime and combined transport, marine environment protection, safety analysis and human data. LMT is active in practically all areas of research and development in the field of maritime transport, having completed or participated in projects in areas such as technology, management, economics and finance, logistics, telematics, human aspects, environment and safety.
